Cafe moves throughout the city of Milan sharing the story of American food.

Designed to take place during the 2015 World Expo held in Milan, Italy. The worlds fair theme explores “Feeding the planet, Energy for life."

American food has a reputation of being junk, fast, and processed. Project aims to provoke and change the conversation regarding American food by highlighting America’s urban agricultural system. The Stac is a mobile cafe that transforms and adapts to the environment its situated in throughout the city of Milan.

 

America is changing the food conversation.

A country fused by diversity, race, religion and people who live and celebrate freedom. American food is a fusion that refelects its different cultures brought by immigrants. Often influenced by region, each part of the United States has their own cuisine and styles of cooking.

Negative effects of food production have led to innovative changes in America’s Food culture. An example of this is the nationwide spread of Urban Farming. Making use of communities urban settings, americans are creating food grown locally.

Gathering vegetables grown with hydroponic technologies found in US urban agriculture, users create their very own food fusion amongst the urban landscape.
